Mysore/Beginners Welcome

Jeannie loves yoga and believes it can help anyone uncover their most authentic and best self. Stressed out from her music career day job she followed a suggestion to try yoga and soon found herself on the mat daily. Beginning her journey at The Jivamukti School of Yoga in the early 90's she went on to embrace and study many forms of yoga such as Jivamukti, Vinyasa Flow, Anusara, Iyengar, Yin and Restorative and one day wandered into a Mysore room in New York City and fell in love with the purity of Ashtanga. Her love of  intelligent sequencing and the healing properties of yoga have helped to form her inspired flows that seek to challenge the body and restore the soul.  
Mysore is an Ashtanga practice and is like a private yoga session in a group setting. Mysore is not a traditional led class with a teacher calling poses in front of the room, rather we provide you with a sequence and personal instruction to teach you each pose, one at a time. This makes Mysore an all levels class and a very safe and effective way to learn yoga as your practice is tailored to your body and breath count and not to everyone around you. You will work to your body's unique capacity allowing it to open and strengthen at a pace appropriate to you. You can also come to Mysore anytime because class begins when you step on your mat and not when the teacher enters the room. This fun way to practice allows students to ask questions and receive feedback when they need it most. Mysore is empowering because it allows you to give yourself the gift of having your own practice and works whether you are brand new to yoga or an advanced practitioner.
